I'm a licensed therapist specializing in trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, spiritual trauma, and cross-cultural identity. I work with children, teens, adults, families, as well as fellow therapists who need their own space to process the weight of this work. I offer both telehealth and walk-and-talk therapy because I believe healing should meet you where you are, not the other way around.
My own life has been shaped by movement and transition. I grew up in Latin America, studied in the Midwest, spent formative time in the Middle East and South Asia, lived in Brazil, and now call Southern California home with my wife, daughter, and our cat(s). Those experiences taught me what it's like to exist between worlds: to carry multiple cultural identities, to grieve what you've left behind while building something new, to question the faith and assumptions you inherited. That in-betweenness is something I understand deeply, and it's part of why I'm drawn to working with people navigating their own complex crossings.
My Christian faith has been both an anchor and a place of profound questioning. I know what it's like to hold deep belief alongside hard questions, to feel the tension between the faith you were handed and the faith you're discovering for yourself. The journey of learning to trust God even when the path looks nothing like you expected shapes how I show up in the therapy room. I work with people across all faith traditions and none, but I have a particular heart for those navigating spiritual wounds, deconstruction, and the loneliness of feeling like you don't belong in the religious spaces you once called home.
I didn't come to this work by accident. I've sat with my own grief, wrestled with my own questions about faith and meaning, and learned that healing rarely happens in straight lines. I became a therapist because I believe in the power of being truly seen, and because I know what it's like to need someone who won't look away when things get hard.
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and adaptive. I draw from attachment theory, narrative therapy, somatic therapy and family systems work, but more than any method, I believe in meeting you where you are. I don't think therapy should feel clinical or performative. Some of my best sessions happen while walking outdoors, where movement and nature create space for honesty. Others happen on a video screen, late in the evening after kids are in bed, because that's when you finally have a moment to breathe.
I won't rush you. I won't try to fix you. I'll walk beside you, at your pace, honoring your story. I'll believe in your capacity to heal even when you're not sure you do.
If you're carrying something heavy, you don't have to carry it alone. Let's talk.
